Audience enjoying a polo match and benefit Sunday afternoon at Chukkar Farm. We host a lot of benefits for a variety of fundraisers including the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta's High Museum, HAY Fund, Must Ministries, etc. We look for clubs like our own where we can compete on a level basis, and like to arrange tournaments with these clubs to allow both groups to do some traveling. If you are interested in our program and would like to arrange riding or polo lessons, a tournament, or a Sunday of polo with our Club, give us a call. We look forward to meeting you! |
"Polo is like hockey, soccer and basketball on
a horse, trying to hit a baseball with a stretched-out croquet mallet
while speeding at 35 miles an hour." - Jack Cashin, owner and founder of Chukkar Farm & Polo Club. We are the only beginners Polo Club in the Southeast where you can first learn to ride, then learn polo, then decide whether you want to continue. If you do, you can then lease one of our experienced polo ponies or you can buy your own pony and board it here. Polo and riding lessons are available for all levels of riders and players. We have 131 acres, much of which is in lush grass. Horses live here as nature intended ... free to roam, eat, drink, run, and find their place in the herd. They are never confined to a stall unless they are injured. The monthly lease fee includes everything - pony, tack, wraps, polo, hitting cage, and 2-3 miles of trails without leaving the property. We are very proud of the fact that 48% of our club is made up of ladies! Polo has historically been a sport dominated by men and we are happy to have a club which always plays co-ed games. We enjoy each other's company for polo as well as social outings and out of town trips. We are also proud when some of our members choose to go on to higher level polo at other Polo Clubs. |
